Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
Ladies I hope you all can relate to me on this. When you are sitting on the couch after a long day of cleaning, taking care of the kids and cooking. Then a commercial comes on for ice cream, and you then want ice cream. Well this happened to me the other day. The kids and I where watching T.V. and well I think you know what I said. Kids lets go get ice cream. I have been wanting to try this ice cream shop named Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream in Nashville for awhile. So that is where we went. Let me tell you, you are in for a surprise when you walk into this cute building. The kids and I walked in and were greeted by a very friendly employee asking us if we would like to sample a few of the choices before we made our decision. How can you pass up a free sample of ice cream?
They offer so many flavors and the choices of topping are so hard to choice from. Some of the flavors they offer sounded pretty weird to me, goat cheese and red cherries, sweet cream biscuits, sun popped corn, gooey butter cake, and peach jam. This is just to name a few. Don’t let that change your mind. After the kids and I had a few samples we made our choices and let me tell you this is some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted in my life. The kids got a verity of flavors on a cone and I stuck with just one flavor. The peach jam and it was out of this world good, rich and creamy.
The portions are so big that you can’t eat it all either like other places. This is just the right amount. The prices are just as reasonable, a double scoop is $5.00 and the triple is $6.00. You can pick if you would like a handmade waffle cone, yes that is right handmade waffle cones and wow are they good. You can get your scoop in a regular cone or in a cup as well. I know there are a lot of other ice cream shops around, but ladies you can not go wrong by taking your kids or even just yourself here. The whole staff was friendly and my kids keep asking when we are going back. So the next time you get a craving for ice cream you need to take the drive to Jeni’s.
